Summer 2025 CrEEK Environmental Education Interns


Cailin Fouraker

Cailin is a third-year Environmental Science student with a minor in International Studies
and a certificate in Global Leadership and Change at the University of Florida. She is also
participating in the University Scholars Program and International Scholars Program. She is
passionate about water and ecosystem sciences, environmental communication, and
environmental justice. Being a lifelong Gainesville resident, Cailin is excited to serve her
community through the CrEEK Program. In her freetime, she enjoys hiking, drawing, and
traveling. 

Lena Hammond

Lena is a senior at UF pursuing a bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Conservation. She also has minors in Entomology/Nematology and Education Studies. Lena will be graduating from UF at the end of this summer, and she is so excited to share her love for bugs and other critters with the students at ACT. Lena is a substitute teacher for Alachua County and volunteers at the Early Childhood Collaboratory: Baby Gator. Lena is from Fruitland Park, Florida, and has a passion for preserving natural areas for future generations. Lena has many pets and enjoys spending her time outdoors and sharing her passion for environmental education with her peers. 

Naisha Napoleon

Naisha is a fourth year Wildlife Ecology and Conservation student at the University of Florida. In her free time, Naisha likes to paint, go birding, and take photos of wildlife. She has a deep appreciation for nature and wishes to help others participate in the outdoors. Thanks to her educators, she has gotten to learn to try new things and is excited educate future generations about local ecosystems. 


Zaira Diaz Goodwin 

Zaira graduated from the University of Florida this May after pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Conservation. She is a returning intern to ACT, having previously pursued the Natural Resource Management internship in Fall 2024. She is passionate about the environment and strives to combat the threats it faces by any means possible. Zaira looks forward to sharing her knowledge in an impactful, meaningful way this semester through environmental education.
