October 23rd, 2022

Gainesville, Florida – Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) will host their annual Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice event at Rockwood Park on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice will be an event to celebrate the community and autumn season for pumpkin carving, tasty treats, and cooler weather. Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice is open to the public, free, and family-friendly. Pumpkins will be provided on a first come, first serve basis and there will be carving stations set up by ACT throughout the park. Reservations are not required for this event.

“ACT is delighted to host our annual Pumpkin Spice event at Rockwood Park this weekend,” said ACT Associate Director Heather Obara. “This is a great opportunity to visit one of ACT’s local parks, spend time with friends and family, and carve a pumpkin to take home!”

Rockwood Park is a 1-acre urban park that was generously donated to ACT by Don and Joanne Rockwood. The park opened in 2015 and has since been conserved by ACT. Within the park, there are lots of naturally shaded areas to gather or to take a stroll, a “Little Free Library” for the exchange of books between community members, an outdoor fitness equipment station, and benches to sit and take in the surrounding nature.

Rockwood Park is located at 2221 NW 22nd Street in Gainesville, Florida 32605. Street parking is available near the park. Please do not block private driveways.

Press are invited to attend this event. Members of the press, please contact ACT at Info@AlachuaConservationTrust.org or (352) 373-1078 if you plan to attend.
