Alachua Conservation Trust to Host Fifth Annual Pride at Prairie Creek
October 13, 2025
Gainesville, FL - Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) is hosting the fifth annual Pride at Prairie Creek on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event is a free, outdoor celebration of the LGBTQ+ community for family, friends, and allies to come together and enjoy a day at Prairie Creek Preserve, located just outside of Gainesville.
Join ACT on guided hikes, watch live wildlife demonstrations, learn about the conservation and queer inclusivity work being done in the community from various organizations, and shop with local vendors! There will also be face painting and arts and crafts, including the option to tie-dye an ACT tote. It is recommended to bring blankets and seating to sit and enjoy the live musical performances of Maggie and Mom.
““It has been incredibly exciting to plan the fifth annual Pride at Prairie Creek. It is always rewarding to create a space in nature where everyone feels seen, safe, and connected. Pride at Prairie Creek is our way of showing that public lands belong to everyone.” ”
The event is made possible through sponsorships from HR Bartender, Michele DuBois, First Magnitude Brewing Company, Cypress and Grove Brewery, Sweetwater Branch Inn, and Blue Highway.
Prairie Creek Preserve is located at 7204 SE County Road 234, Gainesville, FL 3264. Media attendance is encouraged. Those planning to attend are asked to contact Ema Olmos, ACT’s Conservation Events Coordinator, at (352) 373-1078.
