Alachua Conservation Trust to Host Nature Day Celebration at Little Orange Creek

April 15th, 2023

Gainesville, Florida – Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) will host its annual Nature Day at Little Orange Creek Nature Park on April 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Nature Day will be a family-friendly opportunity to explore and enjoy Little Orange Creek Nature Park. The event will feature wildlife demonstrations, a guided hike, nature activities, historical Bartram impersonator performances, and more. There will also be vendors with fresh local produce, book sales, artwork, and crafts at the park. Local conservation and community groups will be tabling and answering questions as well.

ACT’s Nature Day is free, open to the public, and requires no reservation. It is recommended to bring picnic blankets and chairs from home to enjoy the musical performances by The Weeds of Eden and Clay Dixon & the Picadillies. Food will be available for purchase from DB’s Rolling Dough Food Truck, as well as popsicles from The Hyppo.

“Nature Day at Little Orange Creek is one of ACT’s favorite events in the spring where we get to work with our partners to bring conservation activities, vendors, and groups out in the sun to spend the day with our community!” says Conservation Events Coordinator, Ema Olmos.

Little Orange Creek Nature Park is located at 24115 SE Hawthorne Rd, Hawthorne, FL 32640.

Press are invited to attend this event. Members of the press, please contact Ema Olmos at info@AlachuaConservationTrust.org or (352) 373-1078 if you plan to attend.
