Alachua Conservation Trust to Host Third Annual Pride at Prairie Creek

October 5, 2023

Gainesville, Florida – The Alachua Conservation Trust (“ACT”) is hosting the third annual Pride at Prairie Creek on October 15th from 10am-3pm at Prairie Creek Preserve.  An outdoor celebration of the LGBTQ+ community for family, friends, and allies to come together and enjoy a day at Prairie Creek Preserve. Join us on a guided hike, watch live wildlife demonstrations, shop local vendors, and learn about the conservation and queer inclusivity work being done in our community from the organizations themselves. This event is part of the 35 days of ACT, join us as we celebrate this milestone birthday! Please bring blankets and seating to sit out and enjoy a musical performance by the Front Porch Back Steppers.

“ACT is thrilled to be hosting our third annual Pride at Prairie Creek, said ACT community events coordinator Ema Olmos, "It has been amazing to see everyone come together to celebrate the queer community on public natural lands.”

This event is made possible through sponsorships from HR Bartender, Michele DuBois, First Magnitude Brewing Company, Cypress and Grove Brewery, Serpentine, Sweetwater Branch Inn, Blue Highway, and Afternoon.
